Althea S. Prince helps individuals and small businesses resolve their legal issues. She personally speaks with each client to understand their goals and works strategically to reach their desired resolution. Althea excels at helping her clients bolster the strengths and minimize the weaknesses in their cases.

Althea believes that she is called to serve others in her professional practice.  As Managing Partner of The Prince Firm, Althea’s approach to practicing law mirrors her approach to living a purpose-driven, spiritually fulfilling life – be deliberate in the actions taken and give 100%.

Althea’s prior experience includes a federal clerkship, work at an insurance defense boutique, and three years at a leading international law firm with 19 offices in the United States, Europe, The Middle East, and Asia. Her 20 years of practice have afforded her significant opportunities to handle cases from inception through trial/resolution in federal and state courts; expertise she now uses to benefit her “every-day” clients.

Althea’s goal is to get an approval on every immigration application or petition submitted to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services or to Immigration Court.  Althea has extensive experience with immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, adjustment of status, naturalizations, and visas for victims of crime and those subjected to abuse or extreme cruelty by their spouses (“VAWA” and U-Visa).  Althea also represents clients in removal and deportation proceedings.

Althea is proud of the successes she has gained for her clients who have been falsely arrested, subjected to excessive force during an arrest, and those who have been denied medical treatment in jail or prison.

Althea’s prior experience defending Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts equips her to help her current clients with their business litigation needs. She regularly represents clients in landlord/tenant matters, and cases against manufacturers, insurance companies, state regulatory bodies, and competitors.  She is able to advise her business clients on day-to-day issues to avoid costly lawsuits.

Althea immigrated to the United States from Guyana, South America. Strongly committed to her Caribbean heritage, Althea understands that personal service, hard work, and results matter most to her clients!
